No sound out of 4 speakers
« on: February 10, 2002, 11:15:54 am »

Hello,

I have installed mj 7.2. and i have in use windows xp pro.
But there comes no sound out of all the 4 speakers.
Only 2 speakers makes noise.
Who can solve this problem.
When i hear music through the windows mediaplayer the sound comes from all of the 4 boxes.
When i am using winamp there is also only noise from 2 boxes.

In windows XP

Go into "sounds and Audio Devices Properties"

At The Bottom Speaker Settings Click On The Button "Advanced"

then select the best for you

Do what mike does when he is frustrated, bite it off

do you have the drivers for your sound board installed.

maybe go to your sound board company's web site see if they have a windows xp driver

or use "windows update" to see if microsoft has it in the updates

Some things to try:

- update the sound card driver like KingSparta said

- play with the Options->Next Pagelayback settings (specifically the device) in MJ

- use Media Jukebox 8 beta and DirectSound output (again in Options->Next Pagelayback)

Take care and let us know.
