Windows 8.1/MC19/Android Gizmo/Ethernet DLNA to Onkyo t-8050
Android Gizmo seems to work well for selecting music. I haven't given it a real workout yet because of several problems I'm experiencing with ripping, networking and gapless playback. I finally gave up on wireless to the Onkyo and connected via Ethernet. I may have to do the same with a Squeezebox.
Probably because of Onkyo firmware, there's always a long delay (perhaps 10 seconds) between tracks on any album selected. (That doesn't happen with Squeezebox, when it's working.) I can live with long times between tracks. I can't live with skipped tracks. As I type, I'm listening to an album with 27 tracks. Most of the time, every second track is skipped. I started on no.1, it played, then no. 2 was skipped. I selected no. 2, it played, then three played. Then we skipped to no.5. It's not the album. There are similar problems with others.
Thoughts would be appreciated.
