Can't Transfer My Playlists to Galaxy Note 3
« on: July 08, 2014, 02:44:18 pm »

Hello people, this is my first post on here and I'll get to the point.

I'm trying out the trial version of MediaCentre 19. I'm willing to buy it if I can sync my PC to my phone satisfactorily.

The problem is I don't seem able to transfer my playlists to my phone.

My Galaxy Notes 3 has a 64Gb card inside and I have just synced my music to that card.

However I've been messing about trying to transfer my Playlists to my phone so they will show up in the default audio player on my phone and they don't. I#ve made sure in the MediaCentre settings under Options when syncing that Playlists are selected.

Is this a bug or impossible?

Thanks in advance.

Galaxy devices use MTP and not USB disk mode for file access to a PC.   When you select playlists to sync with the device, the playlists are populated in the galaxy's database, not as files you can see on the SD card file structure.
Apps like googlecplay music get playlists from this database and not from reading .m3u files from the disk.

Try toggling the Playlist Format in Options > Handheld.

Yes I did notice there was a difference when I tried to export a playlist and then save to the "Playlists" folder on the device and card but nothing shows up.

So is there any way of doing it?

I don't manually copy things to my galaxy devices.  I go into the device options and select specific playlists to be sync'd to the device.  Then the songs included in those playlists are copied to the SD card on the device as well as the playlists.
I have playlist type set to m3u, I believe.
Again, most music apps get playlists from a database not from m3u files.
