Hello,

Fits perfectly in this "Other Cheap Thrills" section.

Ever felt yourself stupidly asleep in front of the TV ?
Can't sleep because of the neighbors ?
Really look tired at work because of your crying newborn ? (that's petty ! But that's only the beginning ...)

Now, fall asleep listening to "improved White Noise"     ;D

- " Discuss first the principle of white noise. It is a sound comprising several sound frequencies, perceived by the human ear as a "breath". This sound to the advantage of the hypnotic properties beneficial to the quality of your sleep. It will allow your brain to ignore the noise, which will have the effect to calm your heart rate and your brain activity. A word you think nothing! Dodo!

Let's talk about the phenomenon of noise cancellation. It will allow to capture the surrounding noise with microphones. A DSP (digital signal processor) chip will combine the signal received by the microphones at the frequency of white noise. What will result to cancel the surrounding sounds. The chip will select the harmful noises and transmit the reverse frequency diaphragm of the speaker. The result is not the total cancellation of the noise but it guarantees a significant reduction of the latter!"

It's not the IRCAM in Paris, nor a Pono Kickstart, but it's still an Acoustic project  :)
