How can I add a column to MC 19 to include music chart rankings and year that it reached its highest ranking

Is there any source that could update this automatically by highest chart ranking and year or will I need to do this manually. 

My goal is to have the ability to sort by year and/or chart ranking?

You can add fields using Options > Library & Folders > Manage Library Fields...

Another quick question, if I change/add fields that I create and populate them i.e. chart rankings, will this change the file meta data also or just be internal into MC 19?  The reason I ask is if I clear the library and reload the data or move it from my hard drive to my server will the chart ranking still appear or will I have to re-enter the info?  Is there a way to add this to the file so that it is always there?

If you create a custom tag, you see a check box "save in file tags (if possible)"
If you check this one it will be written in the file as well if the file format allows for custom tags
