Sync to USB
(1/1)
Vincent Kars:
Sync to USB
Given all the problems I have with sync to Android, I decided to sync to an external USB HD
This should eliminate the MTP protocol as a possible source of contamination.
I use
Forced conversion to MP3
4 simultaneous streams
5000 tracks
Rule: [Album]\ for the audio path
After completion I did a recheck sync.
Much to my surprise 3 tracks popped up as being In Queue.
Did a sync and a resync
Again some tracks popped up for In Queue
After the third sync everything was reported as On Device
As a rule I use [Album] for the folder
One Album is called “Alkan: Esquisses; Osborne”
I do get a folder
Alkan Esquisses; Osborne with all tracks
I also get
Alkan_ Esquisses; Osborne with the first 6 tracks
After 2 hours I restarted JRiver and checked the sync
Lots of tracks are In Queue and the same tracks on the HD are marked for Deletion
About half of the collection is In Queue
Looks like the sync of a large collection is seriously broken
JimH:
Are the files you're syncing stored locally or on a network drive?
Vincent Kars:
Al source files (mostly FLAC) are on the local HD
BryanC:
Do you have "Resync if date modified changes" enabled?
