Callithumpian--Proxy Fix?
« on: February 05, 2002, 01:02:29 pm »

Good Morning Tomorrow,
We're trying to get Gateley's proxy server fix into tonight's build.  It may or may not work.

Stay tuned.

For me, it would pop up a login screen and even though I entered my username and password correctly it just kept asking me for authentication.

I did notice that it had the address of (www.musicex.com) listed. It's not looking for authentication on the musicex site is it?

Lunchtime tomorrow reporting.
Task bar say 910KB of ....
Gimme 20mins or so.

Nope, no go.

From the plug-in manager, click encoder, click Encoder Plug-ins Page, IE fires up, the usual authentication, click MP3 encoder for MJ8, it says "connecting" for about two minutes then;

"Failed to Connect to a Server" [ OK ]

in an alert-box entitled "MJREADER".

That's pretty much exactly what's happening to me as well, with the addition of being presented with a login screen that won't accept my username & password.

What protocols/ports are needed for this? It's possible we have something closed off here.

Hi Y'all,

Sigh, that was supposed to fix it. I'll have some debugging stuff in the next build.

Callithumpian, can you send me your email address again (gateley@jriver.com), I've lost it.
