MC 20 date tag weirdness, Mac

MC 20 Mac:

my 'album artist' in 'thumbnail view' shows the correct date of an album in the action window tag.
however, when changing album artist to 'list view' a lot of dates show something else. instead of the correct '1978' i see something like '09/20/78 01:13:51 am avg'. this is the case in about 15% of all of my titles...

help
