It's still 100% reproducible for me.

I also noticed a new media server quirk, not a serious issue, but definitely odd. When browsing files from a library server on an MC Linux instance, the MC linux instance doesn't seem to respect the servers views completely.  For example, I have a view sorted by album artist: a compilation album with a uniform album artist will show correctly as one album on the windows-based library server and on windows clients, but will show as 15 albums (one for each track) on linux clients using the same views.  If I copy the relevant view scheme and files over to a local library on the linux box, all looks as it should, so there's nothing wrong with the views or the tags; it seems like Linux clients are just misparsing windows library server views or tags or both.

Also, I recognize it's probably a low priority item, but there are still some Gnome UI issues that I mentioned previously here: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=91075.msg627746#msg627746 .  Certainly not mission critical, but they make it harder to interact with the software in Gnome.

I have both MC 19.0.160 and MC 20.0.160 on my computer. (HP Envy 700-216 with an AMD A10 Quad-Core Accelerated Processor, 12 Gigs of RAM, and a 2 TiB HDD and Linux Mint Debian Edition operating system.)

The MC 19 runs correctly, but after installing any version of MC 20, all my files are shown in quadruplicate and 3 of the 4 are marked with a red circle beside them and within that circle is a - mark.  This is not true of MC 19 running on the same OS and from the same music library.

My question: What's wrong and how can I fix it?

The "unmarked" files play fine, but the ones marked with the red circle cause a note in the left upper corner ("Playback Problem" The file could not be found. Assistance, please.

I posted this question on the previous MC20 Debian install. And I have uninstalled MC 20 and reinstalled it a couple of times. I also have MC19 installed on my WIndows 8.1 partition and it plays fine, but I'm trying to switch over completely to LMDE as my chief OS.

I think I notice the same as well here... I have loaded the video library from another DLNA server and the folder structure in not carried over or respected... everything shows up in one flat view only... mkv files and .jpg movie arts...
The Samsung TV DLNA client shows up correctly with the folder structure on the DLNA server...
Maybe some form of tagging still needs to be done, I don't know, but it will be really nice to know what to do...

First step might be just run MC19, do a library backup.  Then install 20, start a new library and then restore the prev backup from 19.  See what happens.

Beyond that, you'll probably need to supply a little more info about your library.

Thanks to all who read my post re: problems with MC20.
When MC 20 was installed, it searched my whole HDD for music files. Since my 2 TiB HDD is partitioned into two partitions (500 Gigs for Windows and the rest for LMDE, MC 20 apparently "automatically" searched both partitions and thus all the files from the Linux Music folder and those from the Windows Music folder were imported.
My solution was to select all from MC20 and delete them from the program and the search and import only from the Linux Partition's music folder. Now it works correctly!!
Learning Linux "on the job" can really be complex and confusing.
