Tags don't get deleted in MC for Mac?

I think i found a bug in MC for Mac. When I erease a field, it is not physically ereased from the file, thus, upon importing it somewhere else, it shows up again. This is not the case with the windows Version as far as I can tell. I can overwrite fields with values, but not erease them.
