Converted FLAC file does not play....
« on: October 10, 2014, 04:50:18 pm »

Hello All,

I am using CM 20 to play SACD-ISO files and I want to convert each track to FLAC.
CM 20 convert the files to FLAC format, but when I try to play on Winamp I receive a message:

Error creating DirectSound buffer.
Error code: 80070057

Any help?

It sounds as if Winamp is unable to access your sound card driver. Probably because you still have MC running and it has taken exclusive access of the driver.

At first that I was thinking too, but even closing the MC, the FLAC file created does not play on winamp.
The curious thing is that MP3 files created play marvelous on winamp...

I don't use Winamp but with Foobar is it the same thing, that's because when you convert with JRiver your SACD iso or DSD files you get a sampling rate like 352,8 KHz or some other sampling rate which Winamp does not play. You have to downsample to 192 or 96 KHz. I Guess for Foobar and Winamp.
