Library cleanup question
« on: October 13, 2014, 02:31:53 pm »

I had a large music library (2.5TB, 120,000 or so files) on a DAS Raid array. I since bought and deployed a Synology NAS and copied all my files to the NAS.
So, as an example, my OLD library file path would start like this:
M:\Lossless Audio\

And my NEW library path shows up like this:

\\DISKSTATION\music\Lossless Audio\

My problem: I now show 240,000 file entries in my library. Each album shows up with dual listings underneath it (1 set on M: and 1 set on Diskstation).

Upon playback, this will not be a problem as the system simply won;t find the files with a path starting with M:\

But I would like to clean up the library and remove, in bulk, all the lines with the old path names.

Any idea how I can achieve that?

Thanks for your help.

In the search box upper right you can activate the Wizard
Make a rule like Filename(path) starts with M:\
Delete the selected files
