How to add a folder under Video
« on: October 18, 2014, 03:54:26 am »

I've tried to ask this question before but don't think that I was very clear so I'm trying again.
At the left hand side of the main screen appear
Playing Now
Audio
Images
VIDEO
Performer Store
etc.

Under VIDEO are the sub folders:

Files
Home Videos
Movies
Shows
Connected Media

Is it possible to create another sub folder?

Under VIDEO I'd like to have:
Files
Home Videos
Movies
Shows
MUSIC VIDEOS
Connected Media

Cheers,

Simon

This is absolutely possible, and is one of the main ways that MC excels compared to other organizational systems.

This stuff on the Wiki really needs an update, which I've begun, but not finished.  Still, review:

http://wiki.jriver.com/index.php/Tree

There's a link in there under Standard Media Views to a very old guide I wrote that explains things somewhat.  It is old, and the GUI stuff is all way outdated, but the concepts are the same.

But, here's a screenshot of mine, showing that it certainly is possible to do all sorts of cool things:

Yay! Many thanks Glynor, I'll study it and try and achieve something like yours. If I have specific questions could I ask you?

Absolutely. Might inspire me to work more on the Wiki.
