It's missing for me too and was wondering the same thing actually. Or is secure ripping on by default with no option to disable it?

If you guys go to Tools->Options and then select CD/DVD&BD->CD Ripping->[Optical Drive Letter]->Copy Mode

Should be two choices under that drop down - Normal and Secure. Choose Secure. Good to go.

I can see both just fine via V20.0.26

Not there for me.

Almost like it's not even picking up your optical drives. I have my two drive letters listed under CD Ripping and then all the other options.

What version are you on?

Latest version 20.0.27. It's been that way for awhile now, even on late MC19 builds before changing to MC20. Funny thing is, the drive is detected under Burning;

What version of Windows are are you using? If you go to Start > Search Bar in Windows and enter AutoPlay do you have Windows set to Take No Action?

Here is how it looks for me in JRiver:

I just got the option for my drive to show up by ripping part of a CD and cancelling it - the setting is there now and it works. MC never had issue detecting the drive, it just didn't display the drive options for CD ripping.

Weird issue.

A few things to point out here...

1) AutoPlay options in Windows were on their defaults (no, not take no action).
2) Upon inserting a CD, MC would always prompt for action for the inserted CD. It would also always prompt when I first noticed the issue in late MC19 builds until now every time I inserted a CD.
3) MC detected the drive just fine, just never added the CD ripping options for the drive until I attempted a CD rip (and cancelled it after a few songs).

But it works fine now. I'll have to see if the setting sticks or if it reverts after a reboot/shutdown.

Awesome Donkey has it correct.  After I ripped just one tune the CD/DVD drive showed up with the options for Secure or Normal selection.  I guess since I did a clean install of MC20 the Secure/Normal didn't show.  If I had installed over my MC19 it probably would have been displayed. Interestingly, after I ripped my first tune, I closed action window and the summary showed that it was ripped in secure mode.  I selected Normal Mode to test ripping the tune again and the summary showed that it was a Secure Mode rip even though I had selected Normal.  So that tells me that Secure Mode is at least at this time the default mode no matter what is selected.
