Like CDDB, but for LPs?
« on: January 30, 2002, 06:40:35 pm »

This is probably not the right place for this, but you guys seem to know everything else...

Is there a database online that has track info for LPs? I am ripping a lot of my old (70s) vinyl to MP3 and am having to key the track titles.

Thanks for any advice.

This might do what you need. http://www.medic.dk/cddbmp3tool.htm
As long as the tracks are recorded as track1, track2, track3, etc. and you enter in the name of the album and artist, it'll try to pull the CDDB info off the net and name the tracks for you. (In theory) It would save you the time of typing the track names at least...

If nothing else, how about looking up the album info at www.allmusic.com, and then use the slow (but perhaps faster that typing) cut/paste method?

Media Jukebox provides this feature.

Goto Tools->Record Sound, then click on Tracks button.

On the bottom of the window you will see "Internet track name lookup", enter Artist or Artist/Album and press Search button.

That's it.

Next Page = I found a bug and accidently reported it here.  So, I moved it to the correct thread and left Next Page in its place (sorry).
