playing video through spdif digital out?
« on: October 25, 2014, 09:04:28 am »

Forgive me in advance if this is an obvious question.  I injured my foot and the Dr has me on some oxy.

I am trying to play video from mc20 to my tv and wonder if I can get both video and audio to my home theater system using the digital spdif output on my laptop?

The signal runs to my .cambridge dac magic plus and then travels to my home theatre via the optical output. ....?

Thanks in advance for any input on this.

The SPDIF is for audio only. Do you have an HDMI output? You could connect theHDMI to your TV for video and use SPDIF for audio if you really wanted to.
