Channels Available, Missing Guide Data
« on: August 23, 2015, 09:07:47 pm »

Downloaded MC 2.0.131 - installed and am having issues with the Guide Data.  Upgraded to MC 2.0.132 to see if that would fix the issue, but no luck.  I am using a Hauppauge DCR-2650 (cable card dual tuner).  I am able to watch channels, but the guide will not show any channels except for in the 1000+ range (see attached).  I have Verizon FIOS, in RI, and used the FIOS Cable download.

For instance - channel 2 is listed (WGBH) and Matched on the Guide, but the Guide only starts with channel 1017...

Looking for a replacement to Windows Media Center once I upgrade to Win10.

Thanks

I assume that you are completely new to MC and trialling it?

You need to download and install MC21, as MC20 no longer has access to EPG (Guide) data. Microsoft changed their EPG source so that the functions in MC20 no longer work. However, MC21 has a fix which does work with Microsoft EPG data, using mc2xml.

Search around the TV forum to find all you need to know in setting up EPG data collection: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?board=11.0

Download MC21 here: http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=99214.0
