Fix columns so that the display is never wider than the window

I'm wondering if it's possible to fix the columns in my library view so that the library view is never wider than the window, and thus I'd never have to scroll horizontally...

An option for this would be nice. I have noticed that a number of columns are far wider than they need to be. Reducing that would be a start.

A fix for "allow auto size to cut off long values" would be nice too. (it still cuts off long values in certain fields)
