I found a bug that would cause crashes in MC. Not sure if this is the same thing that has caused troubles in your case, but make sure you test it when a new build is out.

we thought it was solved by removing a tuner card but unfortunatley when i reinstalled another tuner card the problem appeared again

I posted this a week ago and Yaobing then did actually find an issue when unloading tuners which now finally seems to have resolved my issue whilst using 2 dual tuners of different types

yaobing now getting tuner not found issues. if i close media server and restart all tuners work again.
