« on: January 28, 2002, 05:40:35 am »

I just found out that there is a taskbar extention from microsoft that acts as a audio player. Would't it be realy cool to have the same thing for MJ?

It was in the original powertoys but it got axed when xp was released...or something like that. Now I heard powertoys got axed again and will be coming out sometime again..not sure when.

It's kinda buggy. I had it installed and it didn't work properly for me.

got my copy from http://www.winsupersite.com/reviews/windowsxp_pt.asp
It's the latest beta that included it. The pic is from there too.
Unfortunately it doesn't work on my German XP (don't know if it's because I did an update from W2k and have a lot of old stuff left or if it's realy the German XP), so I could only judge from the pics and the description. And I loved the idea right away...

The Rio Port Manager software that came with my Compaq PA-1 player has a similar feature. Definitely a great idea if it can be implemented. A mute button would be neat as well...
