in-place editing of fields
« on: January 27, 2002, 07:16:23 am »

I know that if I select one track and then click on one of its fields in the content view, I can edit that field directly without having to go into properties. But how can I do a similar thing when I select multiple tracks?  I thought for sure I had seen Nikolay edit a field for multiple tracks directly from the content view.  Anyone know how?

Select the multiple tracks and then right-click the field you want to update and choose 'Rename'.

Another tip:

When using in-place editing to update/rename a tag value in the List view (right-side), you can use the up/down arrow to start editing an adjacent track (don't press enter until you've edited all the tracks you want). This is pretty nice if you are manually adding Track Names or other fields that don't have repeatable data.

ZRocker, where do you learn all these things? Thanks for this tip - very useful.
