Update from Online Database Not Working

(1/2) > >>

Fratz52:
Currently running MC18.0.212 and when I go to rip new CDs, I am no longer getting track information. I believe this starting happening a few months ago--I thought it was a fluke at that time, but this issue has persisted.
Tried the usual suspects of disabling firewall, looking at events logs etc...
Additionally, I went to FreeDB and was able to locate CD information there
I did receive a Twitter Certificate Unable to Validate Revocation list once, but that has not come back

Thoughts?

Matt:
Please try MC20 and let us know if that works.

Fratz52:
Installed MC20, unfortunately that did not fix my problem. Other suggestions?

JimH:
If you're ripping a lot of CD's and you don't get any track information for them, then something on your computer is probably blocking access.

What happens if you try to go to www.yadb.com in a browser?

Fratz52:
I am able to get to the splash page. Nothing is clickable though [See below]
Is there any network traces that I can run? Do you know the actual calls that are being made and by what process so I can see if I can track down what is being blocked
Is there a way for me to simulate a call from a browser or other utility outside of MC?

YADB.com
YADB.com is a database for CD and track lookup. Using JRiver Media Center or Media Jukebox, you can lookup CDs and individual tracks. You can also submit information that we don't have yet. YADB was written and is copyrighted by JRiver.
