Pono Player reports Failed with all sync files

Tunedelicious:
Using PonoMusicworld v20.0.44 on Mac OS-X 10.8.6 with a Kickstarter yellow standard Pono Player. I imported a CD and created a hi-res playlist. Mounted player and clicked Sync, but each upload showed 'error' and did not transfer. The files are Apple Lossless (ALAC) digitized by iTunes. Comments/fixes?
