Author Topic: Can "opening/playing a file" from within Standard View be turned off?  (Read 967 times)

Two questions: just minor annoyances - nothing big. Here's what's happening;

(1) I do all my movie and tv-show editing/maintenance in Standard View (Video>Files), so my method is that I click on a file (any where in the row) to select the file and then hit F2 to edit it (and Tab over to the specific field if needed), but sometimes instead of selecting the file it will open the movie or tv show and start to play it. Then I have to wait for it load before I can hit the "stop" button and return to the Standard View and continue my editing.

Maybe I'm not using MC correctly or there is a better way to select files for editing. It's just a minor annoyance so I decided to post/ask what can be done about it. I don't want to ever start playing a file (music, movie, whatever) from within Standard View. I use Theater View to watch.

(2) Also - when I'm resting the mouse pointer in Standard View sometimes a large window opens showing the movie's jpg image. This window/picture blocks me from seeing what I'm working on. Sometimes the windows doesn't appear. I'm not sure what triggers it (maybe position of the mouse pointer). Can this popup be turned off?

Thanks.
