I have different libraries in MC20 and PMW20, but share the same music files. While all the standard tag fields carry over in both softwares, the same did not hold for custom fields. I created a custom "Dupe" field in MC20 (to manually screen for duplicate songs) and did the same in PMW20. But PMC20 did not recognize the MC20 tag, and I had to re-tag everything.

Is this not possible or did I skip a step?

Is your custom field written to the tags in each file?  Or is it a database only field?

If it's an actual tag written to each file you'll need to:
Configure the tag field in PonoMusic World exactly as it is in MediaCenter (Tools >> Options >> Library & Folders >> Manage Library Fields...)
Then select all your files and do a "Update Library (from tags)" to get PonoMusic World to read in your new tag field.

I just installed and set up PonoMusic World today and had to do exactly that to read in my custom tags.
