Help with Volume Control Focus
« on: January 06, 2015, 12:43:00 pm »

I'm setting up WDM on my main setup that uses a Lenovo N5902 (wireless multimedia keyboard) for control.

When MC is not in focus, the volume keys are moving the Default Device (JRiver Media Center 20) and not MC's Internal Volume.

Any ideas on how to get it to control Internal Volume regardless of focus?

You could try various settings in Tools > General > Advanced > Media key mode. Mine is set to Automatic and works fine with my Logitech and Microsoft keyboards. My keyboards always control JRiver's internal volume.

Does the Lenovo have its own driver software? If so, uninstall and see if volume control now works all the time for JRiver's internal volume. I don't use either the Windows or Logitech drivers.

Thank you thank you thank you.

Changing the Media key mode to Automatic solved it.  I don't recall ever changing that setting, but it was on App Commands.

Thanks again.
