Switching from drag and drop to PMW

I have been using drag and drop to add files to my Pono. I am interested in trying PMW. Will PMW work with the files already on my Pono, or should I delete them and start again using PMW exclusively?

When you connect the pono and select trsnsfer mode and in the pmw action window select sync handheld, it should load the pono and build a list of what's on the pono internal memory and the sd card.  Doesn't always work but it is supposed to work that way.
