Tidal playing through MC but DSP not usable
« on: November 28, 2014, 01:31:32 pm »

First of all WDM in MC is revolutionary. However I am having trouble getting Tidal's stand alone program to be used with the DSP functions in MC. I can however use the DSP functions when playing Soundcloud through my browser via MC (Phenomenal!). Is there a way to get the DSP functions to work with Tidal.

Figured out what was missing. In Tidal the output device needed to be changed in preferences/settings  to Media Center there. Now it doesnt require loopback to play and all the wonders of DSP are working. Brilliant!!!!!

The pc version of Tidal has a setting output that can be changed to JRiver. When I changed it to JRiver and have JRiver open it played through my ASIO4ALL driver and really sounds terrific. Since I have an ASUS rampage 4 motherboard it has an on board DAC that is DSD capable. Since Tidal only streams in 44.1, 16 bit, it is just a direct connection.

The screensaver is the best I have seen for Tidal and is one of the reasons that I purchased the program.
