Importing ALAC without AAC

I am trying to import only FLAC and Apple Lossless files into my Library for sync to my Pono.  When I select ALAC and save the selection, AAC gets selected as well.

I was frustrated by that as well; seems to be the way it works. I ended up letting PMW import all of them (ALAC and AAC), then created smart playlists for syncing to the Pono. When you're making a smart playlist, just add a rule for 'Compression' and choose ALAC. Works fine.
