CD => MP3

Silly newbie question... but am I right in assuming that Media Jukebox cannot actually convert a CD to MP3 for me? I used to use MMJB for that, until it really started irritating me (awful library interface, continual upgrades and recently it suddenly decided to charge me 60 dollars to upgrade to the latest version, because I wasn't quite quick enough in saying I had already bought it (then it should be free).
ANyway, I instantly sqitched to CDEx... but assumed for some reason that Media JukeBox would also convert to MP3 for me... ?
