Hi,

Every 1 or 2 months, old albums show up in the Recent albums.
I tried many things to avoid it, with no sucess.
Now i want to remove these albums from the recent albums view.
I can easily select them, but how to remove from the list??
Recent albums section is a great feature as I can play new music. It is annoying to see old albums in the list.

hmm they shouldn't be showing up. What might be happening is you are re-importing them without realizing it. Check in the tab window ofr the date imported for the offending files.

Example. MC is shut down. You mess with your file structure, change folder names etc. This could be considered as new media.

And [Date Imported] is one of those fields that you can't modify. There is a slight trick to get around this by writing to the file; but if you do everything external with JRiver running and your media import config is set to watch the root folders, this shouldn't happen. The BEST way though is to always use the Rename, Move, File command if this is actually the reason for the old albums to show.

Hi Arindelle,
Last time it showed up was March 23. About 200 old albums showed in the "Recent Albums" list.
The imported date for these albums is the same, March 23.
I saw the albums and did not remember to have changed it!!

I did not undestand how get arround this, wrinting to the file. Can you explain?

Arindelle, could you please tell the trick how to modify the "date imported" field or how to push albums to the back, that were newly imported just because of a folder structure change?

If you re-edited tracks in any manner, their albums will show up again in the recent list.
