"Apply DSP" option is not available in Handlehd when connected to main library

My setup:
* Dedicated HTPC (Windows) with the library running MC20
* Desktop PC (Windows) running MC20 v.30 connected to HTPC library

I want to sync my playlist to Windows Phone connected to Desktop PC and apply some DSP (add a crosstalk between channels).

The problem:
* "Apply DSP" option is not shown at all in Handheld -> Conversion -> Audio. However this setting is available on my primary HTPC.

Is it some kind of known limitation?

The only time it doesn't show up is if you're connected to a Library Server.  Is it possible that's the explanation?
