Hello all!
I am afraid I may be overlooking something very simple, but I have been doing a lot of looking around the site trying to answer this question, but can't seem to find anything definitive enough to satisfy my curiosity.
Here is my issue: With my Bluray rips, I Bitstream HDMI to an Oppo BDP-105 --> Analog RCA's to Arcam AVR-400, letting the Oppo handle all the decoding. It seems to me that I am hearing more information in surround sound this way. The issue I am running into is the aforementioned error. It only happens sometimes, for example, while Harry Potter 7 DTS-HD will play, HP 6 Dolby True-HD will produce this error.
I am using custom audio settings (image attached, not sure how it will present in the post)
Video Renderer: MadVR
Audio Renderer: Oppo WASAPI
I have not had an audio decoder specified in the past, the movies just worked. In the image is my attempt to add a decoder, but that doesn't solve the issue.
What is causing the error to happen on some BR movies, while it does not on others? I just noticed that HP 6 has the True-HD stream, and I need to hunt and peck to find the other Movies (BDMV, MKV, M2TS, etc.) that will not play to see if that is the common denominator. In the meantime, is there some aspect that I am missing that jumps out at you guys as to something I might be able to attempt or configure to resolve this?
Thanks in advance!
