« on: January 20, 2015, 10:36:16 am »

Is there a way in image slideshow to have the audio now playing info show as an overlay on the image?

This is not currently possible as the images are playing in their own special zone.

Well, it depends...

In Theater View, if you craft a smartlist that contains both audio and images and begin playback, you get the slideshow, and the music. The difference this way is that the remote now controls the audio rather than the slideshow. you can press the "i" information button and it should take you the "Playing Now" screen where you can see the info regarding the currently playing track, and a press of the big green button has you right back at the slideshow.

While on the slideshow, you can also press "down" and the OSD scrolls through, and one of the items in there is the name of the currently playing track. Asking Matt and the crew to add some more detail in that particular OSD line might be worth a punt, I'm not sure how hard it would be to add.

Thanks, y'all.

So in image captions setting variables, something like audio->artist, audio->album, audio->name would be nice.
