Displaying leading zeros for Track #
« on: February 04, 2015, 03:11:59 pm »

Probably a very basic question but one I can't find an answer in all my searching. Most of the tags I have use leading zeros for the Track # (e.g. 01, 02, 03 instead of 1, 2, 3). These leading zeros were previously inserted because my older Oppo 93 required them to sort properly.

I'd like to display the Track # with leading zeros where they exist so I can identify those tracks that don't have them, but it seems MC doesn't display them by default whether they are there or not. I've found the Expression Language formatting function to add leading numbers (PadNumber) but I can't seem to figure out how to display these leading zeros for the Track # in my views.

Track number is an integer field in MC, so I don't think it'll ever store a leading zero.

As you found, you can format the display to show a leading zero using expressions.
