Null Chars using Minimserver and Synology with JRiver v 17
(1/1)
imackify:
I recently upgraded my minimserver on my Synology NAS. Since that time, many of my album titles and track titles have a "?" as the last char, and the tracks are out of their order.
I checked online to see if this problem was common and came across: http://forum.minimserver.com/showthread.php?mode=linear&tid=2104&pid=13260
This is the same problem I am having. In that post it is mentioned to go to another post for a solution: http://forum.minimserver.com/showthread.php?tid=2071
That post, from what i gathered, the only solution was to get another version.
My question is this: Is the only solution to pay and upgrade my version of JRiver to the latest? or is there a fix for my version that i purchased originally?

If you have MC17, there will be no more fixes or changes for it. The same is true for MC18 and MC19. MC20 is under active development.

Ok, and once ive upgraded to MC20...how do I retag the few thousand errors?
thanks
JimH:
You may have the correct tags in the files themselves.
Take a single file and try the Library Tools. One fills the tags from the file name. Another updates MC's library from the file's tags.
