Now that I have upgraded to v20 I have looked and looked for it to no avail

If I remeber correctly that was available on earlier vessions.

In audio,  artist pane....   Or audio,  album name pane

i think u may have your view set to panes
if ya right click in standard view under audio category, then chose customize view, then change from pane to say categories then you will notice an alphabet under view details.
