Scheduler Stop Task
« on: November 23, 2014, 07:57:46 pm »

Hi guys, not sure if anyone can help me here, but I'm hoping for the best.

I have recently set up JRiver to start playing a playlist of internet radio stations automatically when i go to bed.  However I cant seem to get it to stop again automatically.

Using the scheduler I have set the playlist to start at a set time, but the duration option seems to be grayed out. I did a quick search and found this in the forums

http://yabb.jriver.com/interact/index.php?topic=91242.0

However in my case, this work around wont work as the playlist is of infinite length. I have also read through the wiki but im buggered if i can get any command to work, let alone stop.

Anyway is someone who is smarter then I, able to enlighten me?

Hi, has anyone ever responded on this question?

Because it describes exactly what I am searching now..

I want to use the MC as alarm clock, every morning. But instead of a predefined playlist, I want to play a streaming url, which lasts indefintively, so this means it will not stop automatically.

Is there any solution for this? Or will there be more options in a future update where we can define a duration of a task?

Thank you!

Yes, you can do this.  Just add a second task when you want playback to stop, and use:

Task: Command Line
Description: Stop Playback
Program: mc20.exe
Arguments: /Stop

If you need it to stop playback on a particular zone, you can do that too.  More info:

Fantastic!!!

This was exectly what I searched for!

I wil take my time to study the complete commands page, but with that I am sure to execute whatever I want with MC, even selecting the zone..
Again, fantastic!

Thanks for the reply Glynor!
