Visualization very blurry
« on: March 24, 2015, 01:22:42 pm »

For the last few releases (currently 20.0.84) i have the following effect.
After starting Media Center the Collage visualizations (Clean-n-tidy for example) are displayed very blurry.
It is displayed correctly after i change to one of the 3D Visualizations (Picture Terrain for example) and then back to one of the collage visualizations.
If i quit and restart Media Center, its blurry again.

Right-click the visualization and look at the 'Display Quality'.

It looks like you've picked a smallish version that stretches to the full screen.

Note that changes to this setting require a restart of the visualizations.

Note that this turned up a bug that'll be fixed next build:
Fixed: It required restarting visualizatons when switching the 'Display Quality' instead of just taking effect.

I never switched to a display quality other than "Highest Quality (slowest)".
It is chosen now too.
It's the same behaviour with 20.0.87.

Pick a different one and then restart and pick Highest again.  Maybe something goofed in the way it's storing.

I t always starts very blurry, independend of trying any sequence of choosing visualizations, qualities and restarts.  ?
The initial described procedure is the only way for me to make it work temporarily.

I testet different releases.
Release 20.0.74 is the latest one that works correctly.
Release 20.0.80 and newer don't.

Same Here. I get the same issue. I've upgraded from .63 to .87

I tried to reproduce the issue, but it seems just fine here. Restarted MC with Clean-n-tidy visualization selected, and it shows in proper quality all the time. Weird.

Perhaps check if "Video>Display Settings automatic change mode" is set to On (rather than Off).

I don't know if this relates your situation but it did create problems for my in Theater View when I had it set to Off and tried to switch from movies to TV show viewing (different screen refresh rates).

Tried both. Didn't help.
I couldn't find that setting first, because MC was in "Audio Only Mode".
I chose that mode when it was established weeks ago.
Can it be, that there is a relation to that new feature?
