MC 9.1.x -- files over 2GB issue
« on: September 28, 2003, 04:07:21 pm »

I have a few movies that are ~2GB and MC seems to read this as a negative filesize.

The files themselves are fine (and are burned onto DVD-R) and their correct filesize (2.02 GB (2,171,025,408 bytes)) is shown in windows as well as several other cataloging utilities.

Here is a screenshot:

Hopefully this will be fixed in 9.1.263.

If you find other places where this happens in MC please let us know -- it's just a matter of making sure we're using 64 bit numbers instead of 32 bit numbers when necessary.

Thanks!

Are you burning them to DVD using MC? Just curious...

no, i'm using nero to burn to DVD -- i burn along with the movies a "support" folder with filter and codec installations.

You can also burn that "support" folder with MC. Just drag it from Explorer into the MC burn window.
I'm just looking for feedback from DVD burning testers out there!  ::)

Do you burn in ISO format or UDF? (or UDF bridge)
