I had the experience with the latest mac version 20,0,523 that Plugin DSD-input increase volume DSD to PCM with +6Db cause only big hiss resp. very much high noise.

This sounds me not normal and it took me a while to find out that I have adjusted this button. On the fly there were no changes remarkable at all. Only after a new start of the Mediacenter this "  problem"  occurred. Iis my observation correct?

Another question I am playing with the Schiit Loki and apparently the midi set changed in 176 2cha 24 bit in 176 2cha  32 bit what cannot be adjusted to the original  176 2cha 24 bit. Does anybody has an answer.

Audio data on Mac is always handled in 32 bit.  There is no loss in quality.

And just to follow, all the handling is 64 bit inside Media Center.  It's not 32 bit until it gets to the system.

We can't reproduce any hiss.  We tried on both Windows and Mac.  The option to increase the volume just does that with no hiss.

Strange I could not find in Windows the same button ( increase volume of DSD to PCM by +6dB)  in the drop down menu DSD configuration.
Ps. I have attached a picture of this drop down menu as found in MAC version.    ?

When playing, FLAC, Wav and M4a everything sounds fine.  But as soon as I try to play a DSD / DFF file there is still hiss ( via Schiit Loki DAC) . Strange ? 
Ps. I am using version 20.0.52 ?

As soon as i change to standard ( no tick in the box) problems are solved but without the so called increasing volume wit 6dB!

The second question was about the Bitrate this because company Schitt mentioned in their instruction / guide for LOKI that
it has to 176400 and 2 channel  24-bits but it appears always as 32 bits. Did Schiit made an mistake

The hiss apeaers when DSD to PCM plugin increases the sound  level by +6 dB and you keep in settings DSD streaming option enabled.
Just disable it.
