MadVR do not recall previous resolution
« on: May 06, 2015, 03:21:56 am »

Hi Guys,
I use jriver with madVR (Red october).

When I boot up my htpc my desktop is 2160p60hz.
I love 60hz with jriver theater view because it's very smooth cover Flow.

Once I play a Blu Ray madvr take controll and recall 2160p23 hz.
When I stop the playback jriver remains at 23hz.

Madvr is setted correctly because If I do the same thing in Mpc hc the refresh turn back.

In jriver not.

So I suppose madvr and jriver do not work well togheter under this point of view...

There is a work around?

Use MCs built-in refresh rate switcher instead. We do not control what madVR does, we do however control our own code.

Do you have "restore original display mode . . . when media player leaves fullscreen" checked in madVR? I don't show any display modes in this screen shot, but it works fine when using various display modes.

I believe that if you have the tray icon enabled (you may actually need to enable it via another player, then disable it) it will prevent the "when closed" option from working with MC since it is still technically running in the tray.
Setting it to "when player leaves fullscreen" rather than "when player is closed" has always worked for me though.
