Hi,

Since some last releases, MC hangs up during music playback (this occurs after some minutes, no way to navigate or escape, remote control like JRemote does not respond).
I tried to reinstall entirely MC but got this error:

Media Center was installed for a different operating system, please reinstall it!
Even if I'm running on Windows 2012 R2 server, I never had any issue with MC.

It was unclear from your description if your entire computer was hanging, or if just MC was hanging, during playback.  In either case, this probably indicates a hardware problem, perhaps with drivers:

Also, please note that, while it may work in some circumstances, JRiver does not support running MC on Windows Server:

They do not code or test against Windows Server.  If you are a skilled enough system administrator to run Windows Server, you should be capable of diagnosing and troubleshooting issues yourself in most cases.

In any case, it sounds to me like you have some general system issues there, which isn't that surprising if you're relatively inexperienced at running a Windows Server OS.

Ok I know I can not ask more support as I'm using a server OS (not supported).
I installed it with success in using compatibility mode (windows 8 ).

And no problem since I do not use Metro X theater skin ... It worked perfectly until now, that's strange.

It would be nice to have more modern/beautiful theater skins implemented in MC. Metro X is really nice, maybe MC team could maintain it and include it in MC!
