License and restores
« on: September 29, 2003, 04:21:53 am »

Recently I freshly install Windows XP and all my applications. Usually I simply have to re-enter license numbers to register the applications.
As for MC9 I _thought_ importing the mjr-file would be alright, but I got "Error restoring Media Center License: License file is past expiration date."

Had to go to the restore-site to get it working again.
Whilst taking some time to go through the FAQ on this matter I noticed that I am entitled to 10 restores per year.

Am I correct to understand that this limits my number of fresh Windows installs?? Because each time I install Windows after the validity of the .mjr-file of 14 days this is taken of my credit of 10 restores?
