Toolbar - unusable free space
« on: June 09, 2015, 12:27:22 pm »

Some time ago an unusable space appeared in Toolbar (left from File) - why? Does not make sense AND when using narrow display the buttons get disappeared needlessly.

That's funny because ThunderStorm doesn't have a gap for me.

The gap appears here too, I'm using a 1440p monitor.

It does for me, exactly as posted. The 'X' offset seems to be wrong at 310. Changing mine to 160 seems about perfect.

I am not sure about the disappearing buttons thing though. Johnny, could you expand (see what I did there? :)) on that a bit?

Yep.  Here too.

It almost looks to me like it is centered, with some kind of offset on the right hand side. Dunno. I immediately switched away from the skin.

That's always going to happen when you squish any skin as narrow as it will go. I don't really like this skin very much, but still, it ought to work for those that do.

What you can do in the meantime is:

Extract the attached XML file into the Thunderstorm skin folder, over writing the existing file. (This will only last until you next install or update MC)

OR...

Make a copy of the Thunderstorm skin folder, in the "Standard View Skins" folder, You can name it anything you like, but Thunderstorm (Mod) will match what you see in the subsequent skin choices, then extract the attached XML file into that folder, over writing the existing file.

Back in MC, pick "Thunderstorm (Mod)" as your skin.
Better?
If yes, that will keep you going until an official fix is released, after which, you can safely delete the "Thunderstorm (Mod)" folder.

I see it too.

This is related, I guess, to my grumble about the recent change showing the same space in toolbar on Thunderstorm's main skin.

And FWIW, Thunderstorm is my preferred skin :p
