[20.0.124] Using WDM driver makes Youtube TV dysfunctional
« on: June 30, 2015, 07:52:54 pm »

It has occurred to me that this really might not be JRiver's problem, but in light of ongoing problems with Youtube integration, I went ahead and added a webpage to theatre view with the Youtube TV URL. It works great with Gizmo; I haven't run into any situation wherein Gizmo could not get me to where I wanted to go in Youtube TV. There's just one small problem:

Attempting to access Youtube TV with JRiver Media Center 20 set as the default playback device causes MC to hang for a about 15 to 20 seconds, before jumping to Playing Now instead of Youtube TV home. At the bottom, it says, "Ipc", indicating prior usage of WDM. The only exception to this occurs when you attempt to enter Youtube TV while MC is already playing something else i.e. an audio track. I can navigate through Youtube TV's menus, but once I stop playback and attempt to play a video, it does the above.

Anybody have any idea why it would do that?
