I'm using the latest version of JRemote for IOS on my Iphone 5. I love JRemote - but the 'by Genre' search function has never worked for me. When I press the Genre icon it takes ages to load and then just seems to display a random list of albums, not actually sorted by Genre. The other icons such as 'Artist', 'Album', 'Recent', 'Composer' work fine and return the expected list of albums/tracks.
At first I thought it might be something wrong with the tagging of my music (all ripped to FLAC files). But I checked and the tagging all seems fine, with the Genre tag always populated (e.g. Jazz, Blues, Alt-Rock, Classical etc).
The Genre search function works OK on JRiver itself on my laptop - and it also works OK when I use Webgizmo on my IPhone. So this does seem to be problem with JRemote itself. Anyone else have this problem - or can suggest a solution?
