High resolution playback not working
« on: July 20, 2015, 07:18:24 am »

I have a ZaReason Zeto desktop PC and it runs Ubuntu 14.04.2 64 bit LTS GNU/Linux. I own an Oppo Digital HA-1 DAC and headphone amplifier and Sennheiser HD-800 headphones. When I try to play PCM 24 bit 96/192 kHz FLAC albums, it says 32 bits 44.1 kHz. How do I get this to play at the full resolution?

You need to choose a hardware playback device.
It will probably be something like:

front:blah blah
blah blah is your device "name", you can run /usr/lib/jriver/Media\ Center\ 20/alsacap from a terminal window to see the devices

Turn off "output format" in DSP studio and uncheck the audio playback option that tries to adapt to playback failures. (Tools->Options->Audio->Advanced).

That fixed it for now. It's working. If I run into another problem or if I have another question, then I'll follow up here.
