176,4KHz/24bit file not giving any sound [Solved]
« on: July 19, 2015, 02:24:40 am »

I have a problem:

A file from the HDtracks sampler (Valse Caprice,176,4KHz/24bit) is not giving any sound.
JRiver acts like it is playing the file, but my DA-converter indicates that he gets no signal (he is capable of 192KHz).

I suspect that the problem is that the file is over 96KHz, it is the only one over 96KHz that I tried.
96Khz/24bit files are playing beautifully on my configuration.
Could this be something in JRiver? Or will it be Windows 8.1, or my Toshiba Satellite Pro laptop?

Could anyone help me here?

I have solved the problem!
At selecting the audio device (in Tools, Options) I had two choices for my DAC: ... USB ... and ... Speakers .... I had chosen Speakers, but after I changed that to USB, the file started to play with sound.
