MC20 upgrade to MC21

I have purchased MC21 and got the registration code by email. Should I use it for my MC20 now, or wait until MC21 is available?

However, when I bought MC21 upgrade, I installed the MC21 license the same day I received it - so I'm not sure whether I will need to reinstall it again when MC21 comes out, or if it will automatically read my license and install. Anyway no harm either way. If you go to "Help > Registration Info ..." it says if you are registered or not, and shows the Product Version but does not give the license code number (which would be nice).
